Bhavik Rathod — Ghazal Virtuoso
Early Life & Musical Roots
Bhavik Rathod hails from Amravati, Maharashtra, born in 1981 into a family passionate about music and education. His foundational training in Indian classical music unfolded under the tutelage of esteemed gurus: his father Shri Devidas Ji Rathod, Pt. Shrikrishna Sawner (Indore), and Pt. Yadavraj Phad (Pune). He continues his musical journey under Shri Prasad Khaparde of the Rampur Gharana, and the legendary Padmashree Hariharan Ji.
Education & Accolades
He holds a Master’s Degree in Indian Classical Vocal Music from Amravati University, along with qualifications in Sangeet Alankar, B.Ed, and L.L.B. His exceptional dedication earned him a scholarship from Rajeev Sangeet Academy in Indore.
Musical Voyage & Contributions
Bhavik embarked on his professional Ghazal journey in Pune in 2007. Over the years, he has performed in more than 800 shows and trained hundreds of students across India and abroad. His commitment extends to his role as a member of the regional selection committee in Pune.

Talent Hunt & Awards
In 2022, Bhavik was crowned winner (alongside Prajakta Savarkar Shinde) of the 4th edition of Khazana Artist Aloud Talent Hunt, India’s first Ghazal-focused contest. Their single “Le Chala Jaan”, composed by Sudeep Banerji with lyrics by poet Dagh Dehlavi, offered them a high-profile platform to showcase their Ghazal prowess
